Char Dham Yatra – A Spiritual Journey

The Char Dham Yatra is one of the most sacred pilgrimages in India, covering four revered Hindu shrines in the Garhwal Himalayas of Uttarakhand. These four dhams—Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath—are believed to cleanse the soul and bring spiritual enlightenment.

1. Yamunotri Dham (Source of River Yamuna)

4. Badrinath Dham (Lord Vishnu’s Abode)

  • Dedicated to Lord Vishnu, it is located at 3,133 meters.
  • One of the 108 Divya Desams, making it highly significant for Vaishnavites.

Best Time for Char Dham Yatra

  • May to October, as the temples remain closed during winter due to heavy snowfall.
